Eduard Miró

Schoolteacher, a graduate in Catalan Philology and Headmaster of l’Escola Miró, Eduard has obtained the
Master in the Art of Rhyming and is the keeper of the Jocs Florals de Perpinyà, for which he was awarded with the accolade Vila de Perpinyà. As a prime mover of culture as well as a rhapsodist, he has organised marathons and musical-poetry recitals such as the testimonial event in honour of Pau Casals in 1996 and the Setmana de la Poesia – Poetry Week- in 2003. He has written books of poems such as Perfum de Silenci (1997)
and Homenatge Poètic a Pau Casals (1999).

His poems have been set to music by composers Josep Meseguer, Salvador Pané and Jordi Vers.
