Joan Tocabens

Joan Tocabens is one of the most widely-read North-Catalan writers on both sides of the Pyrenees.
His published works include six novels, three books of essays, two short stories and four books of poetry. He has also worked with Jordi Barre, writing the texts that appear
on seven of his albums
.
In 1969 he was appointed as professor in the Escola de Mestres de Perpinyà and in 1985 he was awarded with the accolade Vila de Perpinyà in recognition of his novel Quan sagna el Llobregat. At present, he is working in an ongoing role as secretary to the Jocs Florals del Rosselló.
